Modern bioethics will be placed into millenia of scholarship. The major problem with bioethics is that it lacks an adequate base to be authorative; it assumes a moral consensus which no does not exist. Why societies that put loyalty first have different ethics from societies which put truth first will illustrate the missionary problem.
