About the organization

Business that Supports Missions

Every year, vulnerable children, families, and communities across Zimbabwe face layered hardships that erode hope and limit opportunity. Ongoing economic instability and persistently high unemployment have pushed nearly two-thirds of the population into the low-paying informal sector, while many others remain without work altogether (World Economics, 2024). For families already on the margins, this means daily uncertainty: struggling to afford food, education, and healthcare. Orphaned and vulnerable children are especially at risk, and widows often shoulder the burden of providing for their families with little to no support (Social Sciences, MDPI, 2022).

These challenges are compounded by systemic pressures. Overcrowded prisons operate with limited rehabilitation resources (World Prison Brief), reducing opportunities for restoration and reintegration. At the same time, Zimbabwe continues to face a significant HIV crisis, with more than 1.3 million people—among them approximately 150,000 children and adolescents—requiring ongoing medical, emotional, and psychosocial care (UNICEF).

Across all of these contexts, access to quality healthcare, life-skills training, and spiritual support remains limited. Without intervention, the cycle of poverty continues.

Yet even in the depths of this struggle, we have seen time and again how God meets people in their despair and restores dignity, awakens purpose, and instills hope. Founded in 1984 as Compassion Ministries and rebranded in 2018, Celebrate Impact International (C-IMPACT) serves as the social outreach arm of Celebration Ministries International (CMI). Our work began as a grassroots response to the Mozambican refugee crisis of the 1980s and has continued to grow as we adapt our programs to address the interconnected challenges facing people across Zimbabwe.

For over 40 years, our organization has stepped into places marked by hardship and uncertainty, partnering in that work and witnessing lasting transformation. We have responded not only with immediate relief, but with lasting solutions grounded in our calling to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.

Our mission is to meet practical needs holistically by empowering people to move beyond cycles of poverty, illness, and destitution toward a thriving life filled with hope. We are committed to building people, building dreams, and advancing the Kingdom of God here on Earth.

Grounded in Isaiah 61:1–4, our work is shaped by a calling to heal what has been broken, strengthen what is fragile, and help rebuild lives and futures for the long term. In the end, our greatest reward is equipping people to live transformed, self-sustaining lives rooted in the gospel.

We have a three-pronged approach to fulfill our mission. Each of our 6 programs falls under one of these pillars.
