We choose to call it a Mission Experience not just a "mission trip."  The leaders of Identify believe that engaging in a Mission Experience is about much more than spending a powerful week in a foreign land.  We feel certain that the entire experience, from the initial application to the story told back home, is incredibly important!

Once a Mission Team is formed, we work together at home and also in the foreign country to develop our team through 3 phases: Preparatory, In-Field, and Reentry.  We delve not only into the logistics of the trip and project, but also study the culture, examine our true mission in life, and challenge each other to let go of any old, unproductive ways.  During this time we engage in many fun team-building activities, fundraise, and even serve in our local community together.  Most importantly, we never end our experience without acknowledging who we were in the beginning, understanding where we've been, and dreaming about where we are headed next.
