About the organization

TLC serves the most isolated and underserved populations of Eswatini, many of whom have no access to health services. Using local and world-class solutions, and with a heart to reach Every Last One, The Luke Commission (TLC) has been toppling barriers to healthcare access for the people of Eswatini since 2005. All patients are considered VIPs (Very Important Patients) and are treated as if they were our own father, mother, brother, sister or child.

Our Impact in 2023: The Luke Commission provided critical healthcare services to over 300,000 VIPs. With a dedicated team of 700 staff members, 97% of whom are local Emaswati, we conducted 1,300+ mobile outreaches, bringing essential medical support directly to underserved communities. Our efforts included 10,603 cervical cancer screenings, helping to detect and prevent life-threatening conditions. We performed 75 orthopedic surgeries and safely delivered 1,153 babies. Additionally, our team successfully removed 456 cataracts, restoring vision and quality of life for many, and treated 255 snakebite patients, providing life-saving interventions.
