Crescent Project

Franklin, TN, US · 2 members

Crescent Project, originally known as Arab International Ministry, was founded in 1993 by Fouad Masri to enable Christians to reach out to the Muslim community. Because of his experience as a Lebanese student living in the U.S., he realized that internationals in America often have many unmet needs. Crescent Project was founded to prepare American Christians to reach out to the growing Muslim community in North America. Most Muslim ministries have focused on sending full-time missionaries overseas to Muslim countries. Crescent Project has used an entirely different approach: train the local church to reach out to the Muslims in the community. Our vision is that we see a day when fear is replaced with love, and millions of Christians are actively sharing the truth of Christ with millions of Muslims for the glory of God. Our approach to witnessing is to serve as ambassadors for Jesus to our Muslim friends (2 Cor. 5:20), trusting in the sovereignty of God and the Holy Spirit s power to draw and awaken them to the truth of Christ. We believe in taking the initiative, sharing the love of Christ, and proclaiming the Gospel truth in thought, word and deed.

kids4school

Hagerstown, MD, US · 2 members

kids4school is a non-denominational Evangelical Ministry seeking to reach out in Christ s name to some of the poorest people of the world. We operate, but not limited to, a child sponsor program which enables children to go to school. We operate a feeding program which provides a meal each day to the children at school and food distribution to their remote family homesteads. We build toilets and provide clean safe drinking water in an area where non exists. We facilitate Mission Teams each year to work with the children and in the schools we work in. At present we operate in 10 Primary and 5 Secondary Schools. In a country where almost half of children do not attend school and where 8 out of every 9 who do attend do not progress past Primary education, it is of utmost importance for their development and that of the country that we help to address this. Medical facilities in the villages where we work are few and the people have difficulty getting to and affording medical care. Therefore we are planning for Medical Mission Teams to work alongside our existing program.

Medical Discipleship Training (DTS) of University of the Nations: YWAM in Kona, Hawai'i

Kailua-Kona, HI, US · 7 members

Vision & purpose: The Medical DTS is YWAM s 6 month entry level course mainly for health care professional or ones in trainings, embodying YWAM s mission to know God and make Him known. The DTS provides an environment for students to personally encounter Jesus Christ, learn to hear God s voice, and respond with joy! The Medical DTS is a full-time, residential course, consisting of 11-12 weeks of classroom training, an 8-12 week outreach, and 1-2 weeks of debrief. It s an exciting season of discovery, as students receive fresh revelation of God s love and an understanding of their unique calling within the Great Commission. Students then live their calling by going into all the world and making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19)! Outreach is where the lessons you learned in the classroom become heart reality. Your faith will be challenged to be expressed in action. It s an opportunity to serve others and share your faith with people who may never hear the Good News otherwise. It s a journey with Jesus and a huge step of faith to let Him guide you even to the ends of the earth.

Bring Good News International

Indianapolis, IN, US · 3 members

Bring Good News exists to transform lives for Christ among the unreached through effective evangelism, discipleship, and community development efforts . Our purpose is to provide local pastors, serving in places resistant to the gospel, the resources they need to effectively lead their churches and reach the lost for Christ. This is accomplished through pastor training, medical mission trips, and providing tools for pastors to increase their outreach. We believe God s plan to reach the lost is through the local church therefore the local church needs strong, Biblical, leadership in order to effectively reach the lost.

International Nepal Fellowship

Pokhara, Western Region, NP · 2 members

The International Nepal Fellowship (INF) is a Christian mission that s been serving poor people and communities in Nepal for 65 years through our life-changing health and community work. We maintain an up to date list of medical service opportunities here. Our Health Services Department runs 3 hospitals that focus on caring for people with disabilities, providing high quality holistic care grounded in our Christian values of service, compassion and excellence. Our main focus areas are: leprosy, spinal cord injury and rehabilitation, ear and hearing, obstetric fistula, trauma and palliative care. Over the decades we ve worked closely with the Government of Nepal, academics, researchers and international health agencies to build health facilities, run extensive disease control and community health programmes and train specialist medical staff. Our Community Development Department works with some of the most isolated and marginalised communities in Nepal, giving them the confidence and skills to develop their communities and grow out of poverty. This work often includes nutrition, community health, drinking water, sanitation, improved farming and micro credit. We have a staff of around 300 Nepalis, supported by a team of around 20 western mission personnel, all of whom are experts in their field and who are key advisors in our work. You can find out more about our work in this short film .

Christian Research Hospital

Searcy, AR, US · 1 member

Christian Research Hospital is a cross cultural nonprofit organization, whose current primary goal is to eradicate HIV/AIDs among the sickest and poorest. We work with local rural communities (Mokolo District Hospital, Djottin Health Center, Nkar Health Center, St. Elizabeth Catholic Hospital, and Banso Baptist Hospital) of the Northern and North-Western regions of Cameroon (Central Africa) to reduce mortality and improve the quality of lives of the poorest and sickest. By supporting our partnership based on faith, mutuality, and transparency, YOU can break the cycle of HIV among the sickest and poorest by providing access to quality care. In 2013, the United Nations s programme on HIV/AIDS introduced the 90-90-90 goal. By 2020, 90% of HIV people will be diagnosed; 90% of HIV people will be on antiretroviral; and those who receive antiretroviral will be virally suppressed (i.e. viral suppression is when the amount of virus in an HIV person s blood is reduced to an undetectable level). More than 34,000 Cameroonians die every year from HIV/AIDS. Despite a significant increase in funds (Public: 3.33 Billions CFA; Households and private sector: 2.32 Billions CFA; and International partners: 15.65 Billions CFA) allocated to the fight against this catastrophic illness, our preliminary findings suggest that more than 95% of patients living in rural areas cannot afford treatment monitoring tests (e.g. HIV viral load tests) . In addition, our recent mission trip to Cameroon also discovered that more than 10% of the rural population receiving antiretroviral drugs have opportunistic diseases such as CMV, Kaposi Sarcoma, and cryptococcal meningitis. If we truly want to eradicate HIV/AIDS, the poorest and sickest MUST have access to free treatment monitoring tests. Henceforth, between June 2017 and June 2018, CRH committed to adopt at least 201 HIV patients living in the rural areas of Mokolo (Extreme North Region) and Kumbo (North-West Region) in Cameroon. The sickest of these regions will have access to the following services: Free HIV Viral Load Tests Free CD4 Tests Free Medication Adherence Counseling, and Free Treatment against Opportunistic Infections such as cryptococcal meningitis (only for the poorest). In the near future, these services will also be provided: Free job training Free education (only for HIV orphans) CONTACT US CRH P.O.
